Of course that there's some mean-spirited messages on ht e Paizo boards, but I also checked /tg/ and the mood is the same.

Holy shit, I'm amazed. I expected a shitload of "3.5e best TTRPG EVAR" posts after the annoucement, which would respark the edition wars. The weird thing is that not even on the Paizo forum exist the critical mass of bitter nerds to make that happen. Most people are optimistic. Or maybe ju...

The marketing itself was great, the message on said marketing...wasn't.

Two different things.

Ok, let's go with your argument of "poor inmigrants". Why a nation with a crisis due to lack of jobs should care about poor, illegal inmigrants being "accepted" instead of simply close the barrier? I mean, hello, part of living in a country is putting your fellow countrymen first...

Fitst, it was a real question. Second, ok. Wanting to play high-fantasy is a valid argument. But then it begs the question: What D&D should emulate? Because a common complain is that D&D doesn't do X or Y genres well. I think that is occasionated because is the first TTRPG of many people (ju...

What's with the obsession with "High Level" D&D?

Ok, I have been here for a while but I have never understood this. Why you guys seem to consider so important a game mode that: a)Is almost completely unsupported by the source material. b)Not many people actually get to play. I mean, wouldn't be easier to simply cut the game to level 16 or so and l...

You know, I'm starting to think that diplomacy skills should either have hard coded when they can't be used or just roll with the mind rape.

I would prefer the latter, because I really don't believe that PCs should have mind control powers outside of combat because that's just fetish fodder.

Well, political, social and economic systems are belief systems, not science. If people stop believing on the value of the US dollar, said value goes down. Honest attempts to find the truth about how human beings interact like Evolutionary Psychology get shouted down for hurting people's feelings. P...

@Lago PARANOIA

I notice how you are going around the fact that countries that can "handle guns" are ones with less diverse racial/cultural groups living next to each other.

@PoliteNewb And that's my problem. I will not support any statement that deviates responsabilities for non-shit rules from the developers to the players. Period. Why? Because the players are paying money for said rules. So, I expect developers to either man up and errata the damn things or to tell w...

@PoliteNewb

You see, I want to agree with that, but the problem is that said arguments leads into this kind of passive-agressive statements:

So I can't. Sorry.

Any character concept that encourages "lol random dumb" is unsalvageable period.

So Malks, Chaotic Neutral characters and Kenders are better off deleted.

Two caveats: *The number of levels is not that important, because they are mostly arbitrary marks on a huge XP bar. For example, you can have 50, 70 levels, but if the amount of time between those levels is short, then it takes about the same time as having 20, 30 levels. (Yes, yes, there's the extr...
