Thing is, Dakka Dakka, like most 40k forums, is a cesspool filled of retards and leaded by Gestapo mods. They spawned the INAT FAQ, aka a bullshit attempt at amateur designer hour. And is not about too many Marine codexes, is about GW sticking to their Marine ->non-Marine ->Marine pattern and leavin...

I don't HATE the Dreadknight unlike...well...most of the Internet, but I see it in easier terms: When you are giving Monstrous Creatures and Cavalry to fucking Space Marine variants, you are running out of ideas. Which is why right now, at the moment of this writing, 40k is slow. Grey Knights are ju...

"they need a Marine Codex and a separate codex insert" Heh. Close, but no. They did that on 4th edition. Now the Marine books are independant of each other. "But there isn't a lot of reprinting?" Yep, there is. Rhinos, Razorbacks, Predators and most of the wargear is the exact sa...

Huh, didn't knew that about AT-43. Last thing that I heard is that the company went bankrupt or something. Still, is only one point. The big deal is, SM and variant players are the great majority of players left and pissing them off is guaranteed to be a huge blow to the moneyflow. Like fuck they wi...

Though I would like it, the issue is the wargear options. Making sure that yes, you can take that, and yes you can take that many instead of just modeling still requieres checking the codex.

Yes, we can't have cards because people cheat in a game of plastic soldiers.

Those are cute ideas, but GW already put a lot of cash on the "different Marine codexes" idea. Plastic molds aren't cheap. Unification of codexes won't happen unless GW goes broke and gets bought by Hasbro or something. With their quasi-monopoly on the EU? Don't think so. Warmachine is goi...

All of that seem old grievances. How I know? Because the whole "if you get uppity I'm going to hit you with a hammer" is old school neckbeard talk. GW seems to be hiding under the "we are a model company that makes rules" excuse these days. If that was true, most of the old guard...

Huh. Didn't knew that. So yep, WOTC IS BETTER than GW. That's a pitfully low bar. And I don't understand why they haven't fired Jervis yet, and even worse, they let him in charge of their tournament circuit, which has rules that are basically free publicity for PP (Bought a Menoth army when that shi...

Well, I haven't seen Nob Bikers since forever, so yeah. Apparently, yes. 4e must suck arse in all forms of gaming. And no, Daemons don't count as a 5th edition codex. Besides, letting Fantasy authors who were angry about Ward's Fantasy Daemons do a 40k codex proved to be a retarded idea. All 5e dexe...

Daemons? Nope.

Bikes are fun. :3. People who say that the SM codex is bland have never played a Bike army.

Dunno. Here's the deal with GW's issues. *Too many Marine codexes. This is really, really old news, but when 4th edition Xeno codexes (Eldar, Orks, etc) are left on the cold, people notice. A little less than half of ALL the codexes are Marines. 5 standard loyalists + 2 specials = 7 codexes. From 16...

Ah, Mephiston. Heh, I can imagine. I just saw a guy that cries when Psychic Defense starts to show up, together with S7+ and Poisoned shots show up and he bites it.

Of course, pre-codex release DOOOOOM is a standard.

I liked the Ciaphas Cain books, is amusing to see an Imperium that doesn't take itself that seriously. Yeah, yeah, the whole "every Marine wishes that they could be an Ultramarine" is wank, but Calgar just killed an Avatar. He CAN do that in game, btw. The codex is fun to play anyways (Mai...

Honestly, I found that incident funny. Specially all the nerdrage about it. That out, is not worse than "they are pure because they were brainwashed to be pure" (that is still there) and it fits with the more Radical (as in the 40k definition of using Chaos against Chaos) direction of the ...

Yo. First post here. First, I second the advice from MagicJuggler, he's one of the few on that troll nest of /tg/ that gets it. Second, about Matt Ward, his Fantasy codexes were bad (Fantasy in general wasn't too good, but he started the creep), but his 40k codexes so far have good rules and are fun...
