I called it. The message is getting out. Now if only there were people to listen... The people is hungry and have access to guns, but even if there was a warlord to lead them (I won't say "people's hero" since revolutionary leaders are never heroes), the masses are too domesticated alread...

Re: The concept of 'organic' growth in D&D

What's with people obsessing over having 'organic' growth in D&D Spoilers: "Organic" is neckbeard-speak for either of the following: 1) I want my players to ruin their own fun by making all the wrong choices, and I'll get this by withholding information from them, because I'm maliciou...

I got KoF XIII a month ago for a song. Mostly out of nostalgia since I don't care for online versus, but I'm enjoying it, and even if it lacks actual next-gen story mode, the text banter at the beginning of matches is enjoyable.

If you don't want your players to go into "5 minutes workday" then perhaps don't make of each and every encounter a "fierce battle to the death where the heroes barely escape doom by the skin of their teeth." Just saying.

My main beef with Demon is that the niche of what we know is a "demon" is already occupied. The WoD already had a group of insidious puppetmasters/tempters/powermongers/secret masters of the world... vampires. Sure, infernalism was always there from the get go, but you only actually cared ...

Bloodstained is all it was promised to be.

Konami is dead, but Castlevania lives on in Bloodstained. I love everything about it, from the concept designs to Yamane's music, and it plays as good as it looks and sounds.

Chainsaws are heavy, poorly balanced, and... And vampires don't exist so what's your point? (want me to get into the rEaLiZaRmS of longswords that were basically clubs twenty minutes into battle or katana that are only good for 4 kills while we're at it?) Ash Williams happens to be a thing, and the...

If you want melee weapons that much, just introduce melee weapons you would actually use in this day and age: Chainsaws, L4D-like hack n' eyed rocket maces... hell, if you want to go Gargoyles, you can put monofilament blades and even lightsabers on the table. Don't play in a contemporary setting on...

Since the monsters are magic, you could also give the monsters magic that protects them from normal bullets but not normal blades and whips. (Or even makes them more vulnerable to whips) "I come from a fantasy land where the only weapons are sticks and stones, so I'll use magic to protect my m...

Re: Simple Questions that can "defeat" RPG systems

This is easily possible in Mage Fixed that for you: Mind 2/Forces 2 will let any VA or Thig Hermetic take a coffee break while their workstation browses the net and writes the essay for them with say, 3 successes or so. Mind 2/Prime 2/Matter 2 will let any old-fashioned hermetic do the same with pe...

What if you want the protagonists to have cell phones and GPS navigation, but also want them to be unironically using non-magical swords as a primary weapon? Swords (and axes and whips!) are a quintessential part of fighting vampires, especially in this canon. Quoting City of Heroes: "Those wh...
