I just wouldn't read so deeply into search engine results. That's my angle as well, at least when it comes to conclusions about the human condition. Search results aren't organized by what comes to mind first when you think of a word, it's based on what serves user intent. robinhood.com is a site w...

darkmaster, you've gotta stop watching video made by crazy alt-right nutjobs.

ed: they advertise a suspended twitter account, and their videos include such gems as "Why I hate the SJW YouTube Community" and "Cut Her By the Pussy". Yeah...

The Imbued Trove Carafe gives you a random cosmetic called an "Immortal" from a handful of options. I assume they gave you the 2016 version . I play a decent amount of DotA. I'd be happy to take it off your hands if it's not already gone. Alternatively you could use it if you ever feel the...

I doubt marvel will get banned. Partly because I don't think Wizards is excited about banning their mythics, and partly because it's not that awful. It's still crushing diversity, but other decks actually get a chance to play instead of not even having a shot. On the other hand, the last time we had...

You're super land light, even considering your pieces of ramp. At least check out evolving wilds so you have some more budget mana fixing? Also, blood mist & Lili just don't seem good. You're gonna need removal so you don't get immediately run over by Heart and Ulamog. Speaking of Ulamog, I can'...

I don't like the idea of making every card playable at a variety of mana costs. I think it will pull you towards a set design where all the strategies feel diluted. Fixed mana costs do good things for the game in terms of differentiating control from aggro. You also lock yourself out of staples for ...

I'll be impressed if GB snek does well considering its weakness to -1/-1 counters. Soul-Scar Mage seems like a good card, as does Grasping Dunes if your manabase isn't super greedy. Red and Green look like the colors to be in if you want to ruin life for someone on Mardu Vehicles, thanks to Mangleho...

Yeah, I think a less-mathy combat where it's more like a few checks would be better. If the rules try hard not to emphasize the importance of combat, I think the players will angle that way as well. Right now there is a lot of stuff about armor, damage values, actions, etc that are only valuable for...

You say not to make this time-consuming, but the tracking system feels very time-consuming. Both from a gameplay standpoint and from the perspective of learning the game. I do not want to run round-by-round timers on individual hexes to determine how long they burn compared to adjacent neighbors. I ...

Says the guy with a skeleton for his flair.

Related to this topic, how about skill ranks that allow you to cast a spell? Instead of adding a class feature like this, make it kick it in at Purifying Magic rank 8, so an Adept can put points into it and get it at level 5 (while they are CR 2.5)

An important consideration for Poison is that the Ingest//Poison hybrid is much less likely to end up degenerate, because pump effects like Become Immense and Mutagenic Growth don't increase Poison counters. I'm less of a fan of mill, but not because it's abnormal. It just plays really weirdly with ...

We talked about that several comments ago Why do we need tiers? Prerequisites can still exist. Wings of Evil has a level prereq, just like Breath Weapon and Harmless Form. 4 levels is the difference between stinking cloud and solid fog . What is level-appropriate at level 5 will be annoyingly weak a...

@deaddm: Garfield's initial goal for the color pie was an odd number, so that there weren't clear color enemies. From there, 3 seemed too small and 7 seemed too large. I guess it's a good enough reason to start from 5.

You have a terrible outlook on what used to be a fun game. It's still fun. Fast games don't have to be bad. Grindy bant coco mirrors went past turn 4 regularly and they were incredibly boring. I'm looking forward to the tournaments after the set is out. I just hope combo doesn't become grossly unin...

Combat is super grindy, classes play largely identically, out-of-combat stuff is essentially not a functional game, challenges are supposed to scale to PC abilities (as opposed to being objectively difficult), PC v. Monster discrepancies are very obvious, and some very basic content never showed up....

At levels 1-3, swingy combats and wonky math is actually an upside for me. It makes the characters lower-investment, and that's OK. Options take less thinking, and no matter what you built you can always contribute because you have thumbs and speak. At levels 4-8, the math is good and combats are fu...
