There's also the issue of no crafting what so ever. Not even the basics like scroll and wand crafting (despite including all of the magus' wand monkey shit, and the scroll savant archetype for the wizard). When you'd think all the time tracking, quest time limits, and weeks worth of forced down tim...

BTW, Flask Avengers are back:
Sneak attack works with alchemist flasks like acid or alchemist's fire.

Haven't tried Bombs yet, but will test soon.
When fighting Viscount who has 35 AC (27 touch AC) I found this out.

Not a bad game, but realize that easy is supposed to be Normal difficulty.
Actual Normal difficulty is hard mode.

They increased stats from the PnP by 2-4 points in difficulties above Easy.

It is good game mostly (never got past Act 2 yet though), there are phrethla of bugs in acts 3+ I've heard. They also treat normal a Hard, Easy is actually normal compared to the PnP version (seriously, you can compare a Troll on Normal and vs Easy and it is +4 in every statistic [+2 Str bonus, and ...

So bards get inspire courage as a 1 act at will, but you can get Lingering performance to double if not triple the duration... The issue is the DC suggested to activate Lingering is High DC (14 at 1st). Meaning you only have a 50% chance to succeed (you have to do a performance check, assuming Cha 1...

Shared failing for both 5e and PF2 You don't want a massive accuracy gap for a given level in to-hit / defenses, so they make those things tightly grouped. But you DO want a bigger accuracy gap (and a higher starting bonus) for skills. Like, in PF1e, Your good skills were at level+5. And that works...

Now, I like the bard got actually damaging cantrips, and a 1st level spell that deals cool negative damage and bleeding, all no save. But then there are issue like most spells don't work as well without Crit fails. Colorspray just blinds and dazzles with a normal fail. They give bard his own CLW: So...

So, while I don't trust he means it: Vic says he wants actual playtesting not funtesting this time. Maybe they learned how hard it was to make a game by not ACTUALLY playtesting it. very important goal for this playtest is receiving real experiential feedback on specific game systems that the design...

Nah, he has way too much wealth. I can see level 3 if put all wealth into special arrows.

No stunted growth for casting now. Sorcerers learned 2nd level spells at 3rd. Also, They can heighten a spell wh...

So Rangers have even better dual wielding than any others: they lower additional attacks vs their hunt target by 1 (stacks with agile). So, they will likely crit more often than the others even Fighters. Not sure, why I would want to be a Fighter now in PF 2. But Rangers no have spells by default. T...

So they limited Barbarians to 3 rounds rage then you are fatigued a round.
After that round, you can rage again. It comes with Temp hps that regen every rage. You can always rerage.

Totem's are free choice at 1st, but again we seem to be limited to one. Also all come with a penalty (Anthama).

you could just cash in all your character wealth and make your own Wondrous Items and have equipment that was valued at double your WBL amount. You can cash in all your PC wealth at half the market price only, barring gold and gems. Therefore, you can't really double the value of gear by crafting y...

And they can use poison (not part of code anymore).

But for playtest and likely core book, only LG paladins.

And Lay of Hands, heals and grants AC Bonus now.

So thunderstone rock now, that is a positive.

Maybe, Pathfinder will find a middle ground and make 6 x damage really good and not just decent?

Granted, history with Gunslinger shows they are bad at it.

They seem to be breaking bits off the system and associating each bit with a class - only fighters can make AoOs, only rogues can catch people flat-footed - which I think will make it difficult to import monsters or other classes sensibly. Also the monsters are supposed to be made by taking the num...

I think it is technically possible to fix Pathfinder 2E easier than PF 1E, but that is just the optimistic side of me.

I mean, we have to see how bad they did Combat maneuvers. Maybe it is better?
