I haven't actually played him yet, but it seems like he's better at punishing people for ignoring him than anything else. A properly placed Q forces opponents to choose between continuing to attack or getting out of the way. W theoretically forces people to attack him or take a bunch of damage like ...

That, or they don't bother looking up where [creepy thing] came from. I didn't look up Slenderman's origins until I started watching a playthrough of Slender: The Arrival with my SO. Until I did I thought it was an actual urban legend that I just hadn't heard before. If so, it wouldn't have been the...

A new Gauntlet game came out yesterday. It's a fun hack & slash for four players. Since you have more players than that it might not work for you, but I've had some fun with the single-player mode so far. There's no real level system as such, but your characters get better at things by doing the...

I've got a spare Magicka from a 4-pack. If anyone wants it, let me know. [hr] Nazi Zombie Army sounds like the kind of thing I could convince other people to buy if I end up liking it. I wouldn't mind taking it off your hands. If nobody else wants it I'll ask my brother if he wants your Don't Starve...

My bad about dash-dancing. I don't really watch the tournament scene and misremembered some character guides on Gamefaqs. Even without being anywhere near tournament level they helped with some of the events and challenges.

Ahahaha, yeah, that doesn't sound like a good idea. There are a lot of random things that are fun, particularly in regards to "risky" things where you have some input (high-risk moves that can pay off if they hit, items where one person decides to grab the box and maybe it's a Mario Star,...

The big problem with that logic is that ( first Google hit ) three-quarters of minimum-wage earners aren't teenagers. That might be fine if two minimum-wage jobs were enough to support a family, but between the low hourly wage and the very low number of hours many employers schedule their employees ...

Among other things, yes. However, *World encourages seeing bears instead of gummy bears because seeing gummy bears would be a good thing while most rolls will either be a failure, where something bad happens, or a "success with a cost" where something bad still happens. The fact that bad t...

I just had the stupidest normal game. Pretty sure I was matched against people several summoner levels below me because I queued with my SO. We lost after 50 minutes, the last 35 of which were 5v4 against us. We had about 20 kills on them by the end because I went 34/8/something as Jinx. Having 9k a...

Also, if you only get "experience rolls" when the GM says you do anyway, it's easy to replace the entire concept with a more honest and straightforward rule: telling the GM to just hand out free skill points whenever he feels they're appropriate. More or less how RQ6 works and the mechani...

I bought Pikmin 3 a week ago. It was pretty good, but also pretty short. The number of collectibles is between Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2, but there are no time-stopped underground sections that give you time to really play around with the different pikmin types. I completed the main story in about thirt...

Sorry, I don't know what 'powerleveling E.S-style' means. E.S. = Elder Scrolls, computer games in which you get better at each skill by using it. This results in weird behaviour like standing in front of a crab that can't hurt you for three hours to level up your Light Armour skill. Dwarf Fortress ...

It's only one game, but if your opponents get enough of a kill advantage it's hard to come back because kills = gold = power and the player that's feeding isn't contributing much to your team. A deliberate feeder is like playing 5v4 with the enemy getting a bunch of extra money on top of that. There...

From what I've seen, vulgarity is the tip of the iceberg. It's more about cracking down on (1) deliberate trolls who intentionally sabotage their own team, (2) people who rage futility at other people's mistakes, and (3) people who violently blame other team members for their own stupidity. I mostly...

Jade from Whateley Academy can animate groups objects with a duplicate of her own brain. They aren't particularly strong, but they fly and they're hard to destroy. While that isn't the most conventionally powerful ability, she's more versatile than any of her friends except the high-level fairy quee...

I once read a short story where businesses solved that problem by automating consumption. Robots would make purchases based on human wants and needs to artificially raise demand. The result was a completely useless and wasteful closed loop that still made a profit on paper.

What made this one stand out to me was that it had a perfectly valid moral before the last few episodes. It would have been a much better story if it went with its original themes instead of tacking an unjustified second moral on at the end.

I ran into something like that in the anime Casshern Sins. Basically the first half of the series is about how the world got messed up, but people are making the most of it even without the immortality they used to have. In the last few episodes, it's revealed that immortality is totally possible ag...

No, you just make the second ranged attack cheaper. How? In addition to FoxWarrior's suggestions, Mutants & Masterminds style alternate powers could work for something like that. Basically you can spend one point to add a new power to an "array" that's as good as the main power, but c...

You'd probably be better off having that one Zergling mini represent a swarm of Zerglings. I could see some kind of swarm rule where each bullet does at most N damage to the swarm while explosions and other AoE weapons deal full damage. That could make rushing machine gun nests viable without provid...

I did say that they always had the CDs up when they engaged me, not when I engaged them. Once teamfights start happening it's more common to go in when one of the enemies has something big on cooldown, but previously my "they will shred me" sense was firing based on how much damage they di...
