I've not heard anything about Paul Stansel (or any of the other creditors involved in the chapter 7 case) being paid off. Where did you hear this?

I'm-a guess Loren really didn't want to go to court. Copy of the unsigned order.

T'be honest, "freelancer crack" is an in-house joke for Shadowrun that's been going on for years, much like "d20 gives you cancer." It's pretty much the SR answer to "what were they smoking?" and with no particular intent to offend anybody. The real offensive thing in t...

No offense Wes, but as I recall you were part of the problem. The problem had nothing to do with anyone's desire to turn Missions into some globe-trotting fiasco; I bent over backwards trying to work ideas that would fit into the overhaul storyline without moving Missions outside of its current spr...

2) They're written by 'insiders' who might as well be working on the outside. Communication between the dev team/freelancers and Missions is shoddy at best but usually non-existent. Yes, AH tossed in his ideas on DotA tie-ins but only 'Dusk' and 'Midnight' had been released and 'Harlequin's Gambit'...

Everybody had a hell of a time trying to get anything worked into Missions. I tried to work a Dawn of the Artifacts crossover, didn't happen. The people in charge just weren't interested in it at all. Ideas were solicited for working something, anything from DotA in there to cross-promote and the Mi...

It's a true story though. Randall apparently said that at an owner's meeting. It's in the minutes. I wish I had a copy to prove it to y'all.

Randall Bills reminds me of some alcoholics I know; not because of any substance dependency but because he's very good at making friends and apologizing to people. The fact is, Randall is a tool. He supports Loren above and beyond any financial or personal interest he has in the company. You can't t...

Based on what we know about the legal owners of CGL, yeah, he was stealing money from himself and his wife and giving it to himself and his wife. Which means the possible interested parties are the tax men and the license owner. The various people who have been said to have paid for a chunk of CGL ...

Apologizing would involve at some public or private level admitting what he did. Which could be bad for him, since confessing to your crimes is the first thing any lawyer will tell you not to do.

Knasser: Don't you owe me a PACKS review? Somebody does.

Yes, Emergence was a small disaster. I completely agree. [/edit] I did have fun with Aftermath though. [/edit][/edit] It wasn't as bad as Runner's Companion.

I worked on Emergence , so I think of anyone here I can say the major mistake when writing the book was timing. It came out after the main book, where nary an unkind word is given about TMs, so the sudden technomancer hate in E caused brain backlash. We were writing the book in the dark with little ...

I've been reliably told they're going a different way. Which is good in a way, since I wrote the proposal (which was leaked), and bad in a way, because the people I was working on it with (Jennifer Harding and Stephen McQuillian) are having a hard time of it.

In my version of Harlequin's Gambit, if you do things correctly, you get the chance to shoot an immortal elf in the face with a gun. For money. And get away with it. One of the bitchy ones, too.

Once upon a time we were going to release Shadowrun: Bugworld as an April Fools joke - the surviving metahuman cities are owned outright by the megacorps, while the bugs fight over possession of city-sized hives. In between are war-decimated wastes (the "barrens") full of free towns, bug c...

Now here I'll really take issue: I don't see where Schwartzkopf fits into your little diorama of madness, because S. has taken a lot of care over the last couple of pages not to directly support or condemn anybody. The only person that could possibly be offended by Knasser's comments are you - beca...

Let me spell out for you, since you obviously don't understand. Knasser made a comment that went along the lines that those who support the bad guys are the real scum of the earth. His definition of "support" also included those who look the other way. Knasser's actual post, quoted for th...
