Re: WotC's 'holiday present' the 4e Elf.

Wouldn't be out of the imagination.

SAGA expects multiclassing, and it doesn't cripple multiclass characters. If Magic is done like the Force is, you wouldn't have to deal with the 'caster level' nonsense anymore, and you'd select the relevant talents for whatever you want to do.

For some reason whenever I come to this forum I get the overwhelming sense that you guys hate all RPGs ever.[br][br]Is there some kind of sense of accomplishment you achieve in taking the latest supplements and trashing them? I'm not sure why this forum hasn't stopped talking about WOTC products alr...

Re: Star Wars: Saga Edition

I just played a game of SAGA yesterday, and it ran quite well. Balance issues didn't really crop up of course, they're really more of a long term thing.[br][br]The game itself simply flows much faster. There are less extraneous rolls, and characters are actually encouraged to MOVE and use COVER. Lac...

How about make their melee attacks actually 'ranged' attacks instead? or give the creature a potent ranged attack if it lacks one. Flying is certainly less wonderful if it means you're vulnerable.

Honestly, yeah, no diplomacy doesn't work in the game. Does Caster > Fighter in Other systems?

Frankly I've always found six or eight fireballs more than a match for my PCs, but that's another story altoghether. Artillery has always been about demoralizing and softening up the enemy before sending the infantry, that's how it should be used.
