Dame Maggie Smith has died today and is now joining Alan Rickman in the Afterlife.
This hurts so much in a special way, since Harry Potter was a staple in my family. 2024 now sucks officially.

On a quick consideration of raw contemporary causes of death. Statistically there is an incredibly high chance that Israel did this.
Also based on track record, any denials of that are most likely lies.

NPP, I think that post is in extremely poor taste.
Maggie Smith's portrayal of McGonagall was touching. She had a genuine interest in the student's best interest, but was firm and no-nonsense. Firm but fair. That requires dramatic range, and she serves as an inspiration to other teachers I know.
